Oral Piercing Care

When it comes to oral piercings, such as lip, tongue, or cheek piercings, the aftercare routine differs slightly from other body piercings. Oral piercing care involves taking extra precautions to prevent infection and promote healing in a delicate and sensitive area. After getting an oral piercing, it is essential to rinse the mouth with a saline solution or an alcohol-free mouthwash after meals and before bed. Avoiding spicy or acidic foods, tobacco, alcohol, and oral sexual activities during the healing process is also recommended.
